Fire-Rated Board Systems

Supply and installation of project-approved board and enclosure systems for structural, service and compartmentation applications.

Technical scope

Dry-construction fire encasement for structural frames, service shafts, and ducts.

Fire-rated board systems provide dry, clean, and dimensionally accurate fire separation and structural encasement without introducing water, spray equipment, or overspray contamination into the building environment.

Fabricated from non-combustible calcium silicate, vermiculite, or gypsum composite cores, board systems are particularly advantageous for clean-room installations, operational commercial buildings, electrical substation enclosures, and vertical service shafts where wet spray trades are prohibited.

Vortexen coordinates complete tested assemblies including board thickness selection, steel stud framing, corner reinforcing beads, edge screw spacing, fire-rated joint mastic, and access panel integration, ensuring full compliance with approved laboratory test assemblies.

02 / Delivery route

How work moves forward

  1. Review approved assembly and interfaces
  2. Set out framing and access
  3. Install boards and fixings to detail
  4. Treat joints and penetrations
  5. Inspect and record concealed work
03 / Evidence expected

What buyers should expect

  • Approved board assembly
  • Material traceability
  • Fixing and framing inspection
  • Photographic concealed-work records

Commercial and technical guardrails

What this route refuses to hide.

Fast progress is valuable only when assumptions, responsibility and limitations remain visible to the buyer and delivery team.

  • 01No board-only substitution
  • 02No unapproved fixing spacing
  • 03No concealed joints without inspection
  • 04No unsupported service penetrations
