Industrial hydrocarbon fireproofing protects critical load-bearing steel, spheres, vessel skirts, and pipe bridges against the severe thermal shock of rapid-temperature-rise hydrocarbon pool fires (UL 1709 curve reaching 1093°C within 5 minutes) and pressurized jet fire scenarios (ISO 22899).

Unlike standard building fires, hydrocarbon exposures generate extreme heat flux exceeding 200 kW/m² and explosive overpressure hazards. Systems must maintain structural stability under thermal shock and severe chemical, marine, and weathering exposures.

Vortexen coordinates heavy-duty epoxy intumescent coatings and high-density petrochemical cementitious systems qualified to UL 1709, API RP 2218, and ISO 22899. Application controls cover blast profile (SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2), reinforced carbon/glass fiber mesh, strict environmental dew-point monitoring, and cryogenic spill splash containment.
