Industrial & Hydrocarbon Fireproofing

Industrial fireproofing for structural steel, equipment supports and critical interfaces using project-qualified intumescent, cementitious or board systems.

Technical scope

UL 1709 and jet fire protection for Saudi petrochemical, refinery and power infrastructure.

Specifically engineered for heavy hydrocarbon processing facilities, LNG plants, offshore platforms, and refinery pipe bridges in Jubail, Yanbu, Ras Tanura, and Jazan.

Systems are tested to UL 1709 (1093°C rapid-rise pool fire) and ISO 22899 jet fire exposure, providing verified structural endurance against high heat-flux hydrocarbon fires.

We coordinate heavy-duty epoxy intumescent and high-density cementitious systems, reinforced with embedded carbon/glass mesh and qualified surface preparation to Sa 2.5 / SSPC-SP 10.

Saudi Arabia Compliance & Authority Pathway:Meets High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) safety directives, API RP 2218 spacing and fireproofing standards, and petrochemical operator specifications.

01 / Buyer outcome

What this route should produce

  • Exposure-specific fireproofing basis
  • Member-by-member thickness route
  • Controlled coating build-up and interfaces
  • Inspection and repair records suitable for handover
02 / Required inputs

What we need to qualify it

  • Fire curve and resistance period
  • Steel/member schedule and critical temperature
  • Existing primer or coating system
  • Environmental and corrosion category
  • Operating, shutdown and access constraints
  • Inspection and acceptance requirements
01 / Scope

What the route can cover

  • Refinery, gas processing, and offshore structural steel
  • Vessel skirts, sphere legs, and critical equipment saddles
  • UL 1709 rapid-temperature-rise pool fire systems
  • ISO 22899 jet fire resistant barrier assemblies
  • Heavy-duty industrial epoxy intumescent systems
  • High-density petrochemical cementitious formulations
  • Embedded carbon/glass mesh reinforcement for thermal shock retention
  • Abrasive blast cleaning to Sa 2.5 / SSPC-SP 10 near-white metal
  • Cryogenic liquid spill and blast overpressure mitigation interfaces
02 / Delivery route

How work moves forward

  1. Confirm fire scenario, rating and design basis
  2. Survey steel, existing coatings and exposure
  3. Validate manufacturer system and thickness schedule
  4. Control preparation, environment and application
  5. Inspect thickness, adhesion, repairs and final records
03 / Evidence expected

What buyers should expect

  • Approved system and fire-test basis
  • Section-factor and thickness schedule
  • Batch, environment and application logs
  • DFT, thickness, adhesion or density reports

Commercial and technical guardrails

What this route refuses to hide.

Fast progress is valuable only when assumptions, responsibility and limitations remain visible to the buyer and delivery team.

  • 01No cellulosic-to-hydrocarbon assumption
  • 02No generic thickness across different members
  • 03No coating over unknown or incompatible substrate
  • 04No claim of nuclear, marine or operator approval without exact evidence
