01L / Tank, Pipe & Concrete Protection

Protect the substrate around the actual chemical, thermal and operating duty.

Coatings, linings and repair systems for tanks, piping, bunds, pits, process floors and concrete containment areas.

Direct route

A controlled path from requirement to delivery.

Tanks, piping and concrete containment fail in different ways. Immersion chemistry, temperature, permeability, cracks, moisture, corrosion under insulation and operational cycling must be understood before a product is chosen.

Vortexen structures repair around defect mapping, compatible preparation, approved material build-up, environmental controls and the specified integrity tests. Internal linings and regulated service remain subject to the project and manufacturer qualification route.

01 / Buyer outcome

What this route should produce

  • Defect and substrate condition mapped
  • Material system matched to operating duty
  • Repair sequence compatible with shutdown constraints
  • Integrity and close-out evidence
02 / Inputs

What Vortexen needs to qualify it

  • Asset and contained or process media
  • Temperature, pressure and immersion duty
  • Existing material and coating
  • Defect photos and inspection reports
  • Shutdown, access and ventilation
  • Acceptance test and warranty basis
01 / Scope

What the route can cover

  • Tank external coatings and selected internal linings
  • Pipe external and localized corrosion repair
  • Concrete bunds, pits and containment
  • Chemical-resistant floors, coves and drainage interfaces
  • Crack, spall and substrate reinstatement
  • CUI survey support and repair coordination
02 / Method

How work moves forward

  1. Define process media, exposure and failure
  2. Survey steel or concrete condition
  3. Select compatible repair and protection system
  4. Prepare, repair and apply under controlled conditions
  5. Inspect, test and return the asset dossier
03 / Evidence

What buyers should expect

  • Condition and defect register
  • Approved repair/coating specification
  • Preparation, batch and application records
  • Holiday, adhesion, moisture, DFT or other specified tests

Commercial and technical guardrails

What this route refuses to hide.

Fast progress is valuable only when assumptions, responsibility and limitations remain visible to the buyer and delivery team.

  • 01No lining selected without chemical and temperature duty
  • 02No coating over active moisture or contamination
  • 03No CUI conclusion from visual access alone
  • 04No return to service before cure and acceptance

Frequently asked

Answers before the first meeting.

01What is needed for a tank-lining enquiry?+

Tank material, media, concentration, temperature, cleaning history, existing lining, defect data, access and return-to-service date.

02Can concrete be coated immediately after repair?+

Only after the repair system, moisture condition, preparation and cure meet the coating requirements.

03Does a visual coating check prove integrity?+

No. The inspection plan may also require DFT, holiday, adhesion, cure or other service-specific tests.

Bring the actual requirement, evidence and deadline.
